A live stream video feed is now available to view the real time rebuilding of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine at the World Trade Center at this link: https://www.stnicholaswtc.org/webcam.
St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, the only house of worship destroyed by the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, is being rebuilt at 130 Liberty Street at the World Trade Center in New York City. The video service, provided by EarthCam Inc., will provide 24-hour/day live streaming with time lapse capability.
EarthCam’s Chief Executive Officer, Brian Cury, an Orthodox Christian, has donated the equipment and service for this project. “We are extremely grateful to Mr. Cury for his generous stewardship offering, allowing our faithful and people around the world the opportunity to participate in the rebuilding of St. Nicholas Shrine by viewing the construction progress on the St. Nicholas National Shrine website (www.stnicholaswtc.org). Visitors to the site will be able to follow the long-awaited rebuilding of St. Nicholas,” said Jerry Dimitriou, Archdiocese Executive Director of Administration.
