Ma'loula, September 8, 2013
"The militants have occupied Ma'loula, all its territory. The government troops have left the town," reported a town's resident.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon is planning to launch three-day rocket attacks on the territory of Syria, reports the Los Angeles Times newspaper with the reference to its own sources in the circles of the Ministry of Defense of the USA.
"Several series of strikes will be launched, and each strike will be followed by the assessment of the situation. The operation will last for 72 hours; we have every reason to suppose that, perhaps, that is all," cites RIA-Novosti an unnamed USA army officer, informed on the plans of the Ministry of Defense.
It has also been reported that a Russian aircraft of the Ministry for Extraordinary Situations arrived in Syria to take those Russians living in Syria who wish to leave the country.
